RT @GaryChambersJr: For the record, my Jesus had skin like bronze. Black. Hair like wool. Black. The government killed Him and He was unarmed. Black. But they couldn’t stop Him from shaking the foundation of the world. Black! Let the record be clear, my Jesus is Black.
RT @RealJusticePAC: DA @ChesaBoudin has increased public safety in San Francisco. This is not up for debate. Violent crime is at historic lows. Wealthy tech investors are spending huge sums of money to tell lies. Help us tell the truth. #StandWithChesa today: https://t.co/95NqfpHksN https://t.co/VBNn6pq10Q
RT @kai_newkirk: On the anniversary of his assassination, MLK's full radical vision is still the best guide for how progressives can make America a multi-racial social democracy at peace with itself & the world. Honored to write this op-ed w/ @GreenTheRev for @wagingnv. https://t.co/z7yUBovEiw
RT @JosephNSanberg: Today is #Easter and the 53rd anniversary of the assassination of #MLK so you should know that if the minimum wage had increased at the rate of productivity since 1960, it would be $23 today. But it's a meager $7.25. And nearly 8 out of 10 Americans live paycheck to paycheck.
RT @BerniceKing: 53 years ago today. One week after my 5th birthday. You were gone. Assassinated for answering a call to conscience, for speaking truth to power, for being a drum major for justice who sought to rid the world of racism, militarism and poverty. I miss you. Still. Always. https://t.co/jXcwYWLep0

RT @helenprejean: Marvin Scott was arrested on a misdemeanor charge. That same day, jail officers restrained him to a bed, pepper sprayed him, and then put a mask over his face. Marvin died as a result of asphyxiation. This type of abuse occurs often in jails and prisons. https://t.co/XtjXkIKPnZ
RT @AliVelshi: Mayor @KeishaBottoms says Governor Kemp COULD call a special session to reconsider/edit the GOP's voter suppression bill that lead to the @MLB pulling its All-Star game out of #ATL.“It's just the 1st of many dominoes that are going to fall" #velshi https://t.co/NkAP4DXUry
RT @MsLaToshaBrown: No @KLoeffler y’all gonna OWN this one! It was because of the anti democratic actions of you, the GA GOP and Voter Suppressor-In-Chief @BrianKempGA that we lost this opportunity. Racists always blame others for their failings AND underestimate the consequences of RACIST ACTIONS. https://t.co/OQe1OWdcT3
I need you all to understand what's going on in SF. There's a right wing effort to spread lies about SF DA @chesaboudin. What Chesa has done that they hate is prosecute police for murder & commit to ending mass incarceration. We need to have his back. https://t.co/x7YEWWaClY

RT @meganrcassidy: Despite what you may have heard, crime is overwhelmingly down in SF over the past few years, with the exception car thefts and burglaries, which spiked in 2020. @susieneilson's latest data dive offers clarity (and helpful graphs!) beyond the rhetoric. https://t.co/CHBa5XFiIF
RT @thejuryroomblog: We lost another family member to COVID last night, and my family is heartbroken. COVID stole the life of my incredible cousin Jeremiah, who was just 38 years old. We lost Jeremiah’s dad, my uncle Timmy, to COVID last year. This is just unimaginable. https://t.co/P229rqVqwl
RT @LegalAidNYC: "Despite the national, international outrage over George Floyd, despite the people hysterically telling him to stop, at not one point in the video did that officer lift his knee off Carlyle's neck," - @msolurin. https://t.co/nxeGEGLyvd
RT @Goodable: Giannis Antetokounmpo and his brothers were born in Greece, to Nigerian migrants who struggled to find work. The boys sold watches on the street to make ends meet. They all made it to the NBA. All three just played together in the same game. https://t.co/UA2eWwG18f
RT @Jasmyne: Hey fam, I have an update on a story. Remember the Black man who was bringing in his trash can when the #LAPD kidnapped him after a white woman called 911 on her white boyfriend? Today a judge removed the protective order on the video the LAPD didn’t want you to see. https://t.co/03oKCQDb3P
RT @AndrewSolender: NEW: @ossoff weighs in on the MLB decision "The leadership of Georgia’s Republican Party is out of control and Georgia is hemorrhaging business and jobs because of their disastrous new Jim Crow voting law." Full statement 👇 https://t.co/FjgcY1Kq3Y
RT @bluestein: U.S. Sen. Jon @ossoff blames “out of control” Republicans for MLB’s All Star Game decision. “... This egregious and immoral assault on voting rights has also put our state’s economy at grave risk.” #gapol https://t.co/BSCgZP0JfF
RT @Cannonfor58: My team and I are in the process of investigating the case. If you would like to assist, please click the link below: https://t.co/RvtYaMZCTg All proceeds will go to my legal defense and fighting for voting rights. #StandWithPark #ProtectBlackWomen #GAPol https://t.co/J7Ipa0nOrq
RT @Taniel: Georgia lawmaker Park Cannon, who was arrested after knocking on the door where Gov. Brian Kemp was signing the law restricting voting rights, says she is now facing 8 years in prison after being charged with 2 felonies. https://t.co/8f1UV57qwc
RT @GunnelsWarren: If you paid $8.90 to send a Federal Express envelope overnight from Chicago to Philadelphia, you paid more to Federal Express than it paid in taxes over the past 3 years. That's the real reason FedEx is lobbying so hard against cracking down on corporate tax dodgers.
RT @davidminpdx: A Queens woman says she was secretly filmed naked by an NYPD officer. When she complained to Queens District Attorney @MelindaKatz’s office, including the Chief of Investigations, Katz’s office mocked her and called her unstable. https://t.co/jguYKEeeqW
@ImDavLewis No. Our organization @RealJusticePAC has helped to elect 20+ DA's across the country. Including in Austin, Texas. We track every time one of our DA's files charges in a police violence case. When Jose Garza filed charges, we saw this in our tracker. And posted it.
@ImDavLewis Thankfully we keep all of our emails. We received a single email in June through our automated system. It was assigned to a staffer, who followed up directly with questions, but never heard back. We still shared Javier's story and pressed behind the scenes for the case. https://t.co/hWYcU4zHfz
@ImDavLewis On a normal day I sometimes receive over 10,000 messages, emails, and comments across social media. On a busy day, it can balloon to over 100,000. And so many important stories and emails and people don't get the response I wish they did.
@ImDavLewis I spoke to Kim this morning. She never reached out to me previously, but a cousin had tried to reach out to a staff member. Last June, when we first learned of what happened to Javier, we not only posted about it, but made sure that the DA we helped elect would move forward.
RT @Lawrence: "One of the women who had sex with both men also agreed to have sex with an unidentified associate of theirs in Florida Republican politics." If you're "an unidentified associate" of Matt Gaetz, you need a lawyer. https://t.co/9m9zwK7FiJ
RT @grassroots_law: People with mental health issues are 16x more likely to be killed by cops. Alternative first responders are long overdue. On Tuesday, San Diego County Supervisor @lawsonremer will introduce a motion to expand a pilot program to integrate it with 911 & make it county-wide, 24/7. https://t.co/loLQNRzbo3

RT @TahanieNYC: I've said it from the beginning: I'm in this fight to put impacted communities at the center of our criminal justice system's conversations. That's why I'm so honored to have the (first ever!) Manhattan DA endorsement of @unitehere100 in this fight to protect NYC workers. https://t.co/xfdRRSJGnN
RT @DavidFBrand: Fifteen months into her tenure, @QueensDAKatz finally responded to one of my questions! April Fool's. Scores of phone calls and emails and still not one single response from the Queens DA's Press Office since December 2019 — 15 months and counting. https://t.co/sJd0QUOICk
RT @davidminpdx: Wow. In the face of a surge in shootings, 4 out of 5 of Portland’s City Council members (three of them Black and Latino) reject the Mayor’s call for more police funding and instead favor community-based non-police violence interrupters and unarmed rangers. https://t.co/yUqolNdlTY
RT @morganfmckay: NYS Assemblymembers @yuhline, @JabariBrisport, @AmandaSeptimo and @ZohranKMamdani camping out inside the NYS Capitol. Lawmakers expressing frustration over lack of transparency in the budget process and the need to make sure top items are not lost. Housing, taxes on wealthy https://t.co/UIonJgweuG
RT @Taniel: What a 24 hours! The New Mexico legislature just adopted a bill to legalize marijuana, sending it to the governor’s desk. This comes just one day after New York lawmakers did the same (the Gov signed today), & even less time since Virginia’s Gov sped up legalization by 3 yrs.
RT @MollyGriffard: NY is on a roll with #MRTA & #HALTsolitary and now it’s time to pass #LessisMore technical parole violations reform. C’mon Albany, you’ve got at least one more transformational criminal legal system reform in you this session!
RT @JooHyun_Kang: HUGE congrats to @NYCAIC & all who led & fought so relentlessly for #Haltsolitary victory to end 1 form of NYS torture. Gross that it seems like Cuomo waited to absolute last moment to sign (w/an "approval message" not yet public 😡). All power to the people. #NoThanks2Cuomo https://t.co/JF47yxY0v3
RT @jessicaramos: #HALTsolitary has been signed into law! Thanks to the leadership of @JuliaCarmel__ & AM Aubry & tireless work by advocates like @NYCAIC @CCA_NY & many others who saw this fight to the end, no NYer will be subjected to the inhumane practice of prolonged solitary confinement again. https://t.co/l1t60VPsQr https://t.co/MrEn45P3RT
RT @NYCAIC: VICTORY! After a long campaign led by survivors of solitary confinement, families with loved ones in solitary, and families who have lost loved ones in solitary, the #HALTsolitary Confinement Act is now law! Next up: #ParoleJusticeNY
RT @zdroberts: Charles McMillian witnessed Officer Derek Chauvin kill George Floyd. He told me last year that every day he wakes up "to the first thing I hear is Mr. Floyd is saying "Mom, they killing me in the street." https://t.co/hJlZtwx6Lm
RT @Kanew: Hey @espn you’re really going to ignore that half the team is transferring? This wasn’t a coach just leaving by choice. This is some crazy framing. He was pushed out by Republicans because his team kneeled and he supported them. Period. https://t.co/HlV9gyRmNE
