Multiple social media accounts of the white supremacist group, The Proud Boys, are openly REJOICING at Donald Trump refusing to denounce them and instead telling them to “stand back and stand by.” They are perceiving his remarks as marching orders. He empowered them tonight.
RT @jonathansmucker: Whoever is advising @JoeBiden: his digs on Bernie Sanders and the Green New Deal were 100% unnecessary and avoidable. No one is expecting him to champion these things. But don't add insult to injury, these are the folks who are still volunteering to drag Joe over the finish line.
Last year, during the primaries, I had a long private conversation with @BernieSanders about how hard Trump truly is to debate. Trump is so patently dishonest that he’s hard to pin down on any single issue. He ignores the debate rules and speaks over you.

RT @Taniel: something we learned this week: Jackie Johnson, the Republican DA in Georgia who took no action after the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, WILL have a general election opponent after all. Keith Higgins, an independent, has formally qualified for the Nov. ballot.
RT @lsarsour: I saw @paulkrugman’s tweet & I thought, what’s new? White men rewriting history. As a Muslim American New Yorker, I will never forget the horror of that day & the many lives we lost. I will also never forget the many we detained & terrorized. It’s why I am an organizer today.
RT @ethanbrown72: Prosecutors say Derek Chauvin used neck restraints at least 4x before killing George Floyd, incl. a 2019 incident where he “kicked an intoxicated male in the midsection+then applied a neck restraint on the male until the male was rendered unconscious." https://t.co/IPulLsO8yc
RT @theappeal: At least 120 incarcerated people and 20 staffers have tested positive for COVID-19 at a jail near Richmond, Va. The first case was detected a week ago. “It’s virtually impossible to stop outbreaks from occurring within facilities of these types.” https://t.co/hAIeB49TLV
RT @virgiltexas: There's a new show. It's a panel show. You know how shows work, I don't need to hold your hand. It's called @badfaithpod. I do it with @briebriejoy. It's exciting. It's new. It's a new thing for you to know about. Listen to the first episode: https://t.co/xxXrp9brXt
RT @DanielDenvir: People want to organize right now. In May, a small group of Bernie 2020 volunteer leaders in Rhode Island started @reclaimri. This week, we helped win four state legislative races. We did that because tons of people stepped up to take charge of a new org right after joining it 1/
RT @ryanjreilly: John Choi says he worries that Trump’s law enforcement commission is set to “vilify local prosecutors who exercise their well settled prosecutorial discretion consistent with their community’s values and the interests of justice.” https://t.co/LNTK6I82d2
RT @ryanjreilly: NEW: an elected prosecutor has resigned his role on Trump’s presidential commission on law enforcement, worried that its final report — which is due days before the election — “will only widen the divisions in our nation.” https://t.co/LNTK6I82d2
RT @miriamkrinsky: “Rather than examine how decades of over-policing in communities of color have created [a] deficit of trust," AG Barr & @POTUS created a group to "study ‘underenforcement’ of criminal laws" and "lack of respect" for police. As noted by DA John Choi, this is a "lost opportunity" https://t.co/XLuW1XgRR8
RT @KristenClarkeJD: There is NO administration that has done more to obstruct and defy the mission of the Civil Rights Division in its 63 yr history. Attorney General Barr has weaponized the Civil Rights Division to promote Trump's political prerogatives. My views via @CNN https://t.co/Pzp0AGJ05D

RT @SarahSpain: I would LOVE to see an interview with someone--ANYONE--in the crowd who just chose to boo a "moment of silence and unity." Just try not to sound like a complete and utter idiot putting into words why you're angry about UNITY. Morons. All of them.
RT @RealJusticePAC: Police unions block reform and protect cops who commit misconduct. @LADAOffice has received over $2.2 million. @GeorgeGascon supports banning police unions from contributing to DA races. Who do you trust to hold police accountable? https://t.co/Lj7N9Udsxh
RT @SamTLevin: NEW: Oregon's fires have wreaked havoc on the state’s incarcerated population, with thousands now packed into a single overcrowded prison that was already a major Covid-19 hotspot. I spoke to families + attorneys about the worsening catastrophe: https://t.co/ztLhYkQiNi

RT @GangiFromProp: Point. Till more dem pols change their posture re justice reform, politics of the moment call for outside strategies: building coalitions calling for sweeping changes; videos, press pieces, & research exposing the system's abuses & racism; & street actions involving lotsa people. https://t.co/oTl9HYNKDP
